Some of the above are early morning photos at the time of high tide, taken by me at the Kovalam beach, one of the finest beaches in the world and situated on the Arabian Sea in the state of Kerala,India,near Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum).

Kovalam is south west of Thiruvananthapuram,about 16 kms.
It comprises of mainly three beaches.
From the Airport one comes on to the main road linking Kollam to Kovalam and move right.
The road goes through the western part of Thiruvananthapuram city.
KSRTC buses ply to Kovalam.
In addition there are taxis and autorickshaws too.
It goes over a river on the banks of which is situated the Parshuram temple and there is some watersports and backwater rides too.
After some time one comes to the diversion from where moving right we reach Kovalam and if we had gone straight we would reach the fishing village and small one berth port of Vizhinjam.
Further down one can stay in many beachside resorts and Ayurvedic resorts and also go to Poovar.
