This Diwali there will be no firecrackers.
They cause fire,damage,accidents,loss of life and pollution --both sound and atmospheric.

They increase harmful poisonous gases in the air resulting in various diseases,coughs and asthma etc.
We do not want sound pollution.
We do not want harmful gases from firecrackers in the atmosphere.
This Diwali there would be no ostentatious show of wealth and money power.
This diwali the lighting would be restricted to save on electricity.
Savings on electricity would be used to provide lighting where it is not there.
This diwali the candles will be distributed to those who have no electricity in their homes so that they can have some light in their normally dark huts.
This diwali there would be no oil or ghee burnt in the divas or lamps.
The oil or ghee would be given to those who cannot buy ghee or oil for their daily needs.
This diwali there would be an internal illumination by self analysis,meditation,yoga and removing the ignorance from our minds.
This Diwali we would burn away the bad feelings,bad attitudes and bad thoughts from our minds and bring in good feelings,good attitudes and good thoughts.
Let this Diwali be the one when we do not distribute sweets but accumulate and distribute sweet thoughts and sweet actions.
Let this diwali be the one when we remove the darkness from our minds,the dirt from our hearts and replace them with enlightenment and love for the beings on this earth.
Let this Diwali be the start of a new journey by a new enlightened person.
